小女孩凯蒂和她的爸爸妈妈、弟弟凯文、还有一只叫马芬的狗住在一栋漂亮的古堡里。他们一家都是巫师，除了会法术之外，他们所有的事情都跟正常人一样。噢!忘了说了，马芬也很厉害，它是一只会下咒语的巫犬。
会法术的家庭就是不一样。你看，凯蒂妈妈捏捏鼻子，扫帚、抹布、拖把等等清洁工具乖乖地做起了家务，不一会儿，古堡的里里外外都变得非常干净。
再看看凯蒂爸爸，只见他挥了挥手中的魔杖，修草机就自动工作起来，草坪马上被修理得整整齐齐。

“等一等，孩子们，我马上给你们拿些吃的!”他马上转身回屋。
很快，邦司先生抱着一大堆巧克力条、动物饼干、奇异果蛋糕出来了。他把这些好吃的零食分给每一个女孩。最后，他拿出了一个漂亮的南瓜娃娃递给凯蒂：“美丽善良的小女巫，请接收我最诚挚的歉意。这是我万圣节送你的礼物，祝你万圣节快乐。明年我一样欢迎你们，会带给你们更多的零食。”
女孩们欢呼着、拥抱着凯蒂。这个万圣节凯蒂第一次感到非常的开心。
