英语研究性学习汇报
一、英语研究性学习不同于英语学科教学
1.作为一门课程,“问题”是研究性学习的载体,整个教学过程围绕着问题的提出──寻找收集资料──分析研究问题──解决问题来组织学生进行学习活动。而英语学科教学是以教材为依据和载体,教学过程是围绕完成教材所规定的目标而进行的教学活动的过程。
2.在英语教学中往往以教师为主,“知识”在教师那里,教师是知识的传授者,学生只是单向“求学”,是知识的接受者;研究性学习主要由学生负责完成,它赋予学生自主选择学习内容的权利,同时也承担达到目标的义务。
3.英语教学偏重于学生通过记忆、练习、重复等方式掌握学科基础知识达到简单应用的目的;研究性学习重视学习的结果,更注重学习的过程,注重学习过程中学生的感受和体验。
4.英语教学活动一般在课堂上进行;而研究性学习的活动不局限于课堂,它根据问题的需要走向开放的社会,向社会索取知识。5.英语学科教学的评价方式一般是以分数为手段的标准化考试;而研究性学习的评价是一种综合的、定性的方式,它以学生在整个学习过程中的活动以及体验为依据。
二、英语研究性学习与英语学科教学是有联系的
从我校开设研究性学习课程来看,1.课题的提出基于英语教学,根据学科教学内容中的问题、方法、规律等提出探索性课题。如:英语语法学习和词的用法总结,英式英语与美式英语的不同,英语学习方法的研究以及从教学内容延伸出的课题等。2.在收集资料过程中,学生必然会运用已学英语知识查阅因特网上、图书馆中的大量英语材料;运用英语与外籍人士交流,对他们进行调查访问。3.学生运用已学的英语知识完成部分课题的结题报告。4.在答辩过程中,课题组学生得运用英语来对教师提出的问题进行阐述。
三、如何进行英语研究性学习英语研究性学习课题的实施计划
1.课题:(1)中西方餐饮文化的异同(2)美式与英式英语的不同(3)英语学习方法的研究(4)东西方身体语言的异同(5)讲英语国家的概况(美国、英国、澳大利亚、新西兰等)(6)汉英句子结构的异同(7)语法的学习和词语的用法总结(8)英语在实际生活中的应用
2.目标:(1)增进学生对西方国家政治、历史、人文、地理、餐饮文化、风俗习惯等的了解。(2)培养学生运用已学的英语基础知识去分析问题、解决问题的能力。(3)激发学生的好奇心和创造力,培养探索创新精神。(4)培养学生与他人合作的群体意识。(5)使学生了解科学研究的一般过程和方法,增强科学意识。

6.预期成果:(1)总结报告、调查报告、论文、心得体会等(2)按照实施计划进入选题以及论证阶段,学生根据兴趣爱好选择研究课题,由课题指导组进行分组,此时课题组的'学生和教师已打破了原来教学班的界限,如:我指导的课题组“东西方餐饮文化的异同”由来自同一年级四个不同班级的学生组成。课题组在指导教师的协助下写出开题报告,课题指导组进行开题评审工作。(3)资料收集阶段。该阶段是整个研究性学习中最为重要的阶段,在每一次活动前指导教师和学生都要做好准备工作,填写好活动安排表。每次活动之后作好记载,学生互相交流心得体会。(4)结题阶段。作为指导教师应开设讲座,让学生懂得撰写总结报告、论文、调查报告等的格式,学生对收集的资料进行筛选、整理,分工合作写出结题报告初稿,交各小组讨论,对初稿加以补充、修改、完善,最后定稿。(5)成绩评定阶段。首先根据课题组的开题报告、活动资料(包括笔记、资料、照片、活动情
况记录、阶段总结等)、结题报告、小组答辩情况,由评审组打分,然后课题小组再根据得分情况、参考小组成员在整个活动中的参与情况,评出小组成员的等级。(6)总结与展示阶段。学生对自己在整个研究性学习过程中的活动情况进行反思、总结,互相交流学习,并展示研究成果,必要时邀请家长参加。四、实施英语研究性课程的体会
1.教师在教学活动中不再处于中心地位。研究性学习强调以学生的自主性学习为基础,学生才是整个活动的中心,教师在很多情况下是以协调者或协助者的身份出现,协助学生解决他们在活动中遇到的麻烦。
2.教师不再是权威,对教学内容不再具有垄断。不是教师说的就是标准答案,课题所需的各种知识学生可以通过各种渠道获得,很多知识已经超出了教师的专业范围,如本课题中涉及到的烹饪、营养等。
3.教学方法不像课堂教学那样有较为固定的模式和程序,它更具有灵活多变性。
4.教师成为更加主动的学习者。由于英语教学内容有教材可依,导致有的教师长期以来依赖教材,不思进取。而面对英语研究性学习,教师无优势可言,同学生一样,要学习的知识太广阔了,从研究性学习的流程、内容以及一般的科研方法到课题所涉及的其他专业知识都需要教师认真学习,否则难以适应研究性学习的指导需要。
5.有利于促进英语教学。学生在活动中涉猎了大量西方餐饮文化知识,对饮食结构、营养、风俗习惯、就餐礼仪等有较多的了解,对英语教材中(Book1)Unit15 Health eating这样的课文,学生学起来就更轻松有趣;同时,在与外籍人士的交流中,学生清楚地认识到自己所学的英语知识有限,更激励自己要努力学好英语。
6.学生团队意识增强,与他人交往能力得到锻炼,克服困难的勇气、意志得到磨练,创新精神和实践能力得到培养。
