第二天，兔妈妈又要去拔萝卜，小兔子们把门关得紧紧的。
这一次大灰狼扮成兔妈妈的模样，来到门前，也唱道：“小兔乖乖，把门儿开开！”
红眼睛和短尾巴一听妈妈回来了要开门，但是长耳朵却说：“好像不是妈妈的声音。”
红眼睛从门缝一看果然不是妈妈，是一只大灰狼！
于是小兔子们回答说：“不开不开我不开，妈妈没回来，谁来也不开！”
大灰狼又细声细气地说：“我就是你们的妈妈，快把门打开让我进去！”
短尾巴说：“我们不信，要不你把你的尾巴从门缝伸进来，让我们看看到底是不是妈妈。”
大灰狼想也没想，就把尾巴从门缝伸了进去，三只小兔一起用力把门狠狠地关上了，把大灰狼的尾巴刚好夹住。
这时兔妈妈也回来了，放下手中的蓝子，拿起棒子，对准大灰狼的头狠砸，大灰狼挣断了尾巴赶紧逃跑了。
这时小兔子们也看到妈妈回来了，妈妈夸他们是好兔乖乖。

大象把河边的草地打扫得干干净净，拔去杂草，搭起架子，挂上彩纸，还在四周种上了鲜花。他整整忙了两天，看看布置一新的草地，很满意，同时也感到很疲劳，便打了一个呵欠，躺下来睡着了。
晚上，月亮出来了，很圆很圆。噢！快乐晚会要在今夜举行。小动物们穿着漂亮的服装，纷纷来到小河边。
呀！他们发现大象睡着了。“得让他醒来，否则就不能参加晚会了。”小白兔着急地说。

“我们为大象准备衣服。”小鸟飞进森林，衔来一片片绿叶，把它贴在大象身上，大象仍然没有醒。
小动物们商量得喊醒他了，就齐声大喊：“大象大象快醒来，晚会就要开始啦！”
大象扇扇大耳朵，醒了。看看四周，是一群小动物；瞧瞧天上，圆圆的月亮正挂在当空。噢，今晚要开快乐晚会的呀。
“大象，你穿得这么漂亮，一定准备了很精彩的节目。”小动物们调皮地问。
