Title: The Power of Words
Ladies and gentlemen,
Good morning/afternoon/evening. I stand before you today to talk about the power of words. Words have the ability to inspire, to motivate, and to change the world. They have the power to uplift and to bring people together. Words can heal wounds and bridge divides.
Throughout history, we have witnessed the immense power of words. Leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, and Mahatma Gandhi used their words to inspire millions of people and bring about social change. Their speeches and writings ignited a fire within people's hearts and united them in the pursuit of justice and equality.
In our everyday lives, we also experience the power of words. A simple compliment or a kind word can brighten someone's day and boost their confidence. Conversely, a hurtful comment or negative remark can deeply affect a person's self-esteem and well-being. It is important for us to realize the impact our words can have on others and choose them wisely.
As individuals, we have the responsibility to use our words for good. We can use them to spread love, kindness, and positivity. We can use them to stand up against injustice and promote equality. We can use them to encourage and support one another. Each and every one of us has the power to make a difference through our words.
However, with great power comes great responsibility. It is crucial for us to be mindful of the words we use, both in person and online. In today's digital age, where social media platforms provide a global stage for our thoughts and opinions, it is easy to forget the impact our words can have on others. We must remember to use our words responsibly and respectfully, considering the diverse perspectives and experiences of those who may be reading or listening.
In conclusion, let us harness the power of our words to create a positive impact on the world. Let us choose words that uplift, encourage, and inspire. Let us be mindful of the impact our words can have and use them to bridge divides and bring people together. Remember, each word we speak or write has the potential to change lives. So, let us use our words wisely and make a difference.
Thank you.

Title: Embracing Diversity
Ladies and gentlemen,
Good morning/afternoon/evening. Today, I want to talk about the importance of embracing diversity. In a world where we are more connected than ever before, it is crucial for us to celebrate and appreciate our differences.
Diversity encompasses various aspects, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and more. Each individual brings a unique set of perspectives, experiences, and talents to the table. By embracing diversity, we open ourselves up to new ideas, creativity, and innovation.
When we embrace diversity, we foster a sense of inclusivity and equality. We create environments where everyone feels valued and respected. By embracing diversity, we break down barriers and build bridges between people from different backgrounds. We learn from one another and grow together.
Embracing diversity also allows us to challenge our own biases and assumptions. It encourages us to step outside of our comfort zones and engage with perspectives that may be different from our own. This opens up opportunities for personal growth and self-reflection.
In workplaces, embracing diversity leads to increased productivity and creativity. When people from different backgrounds come together, they bring a wide range of skills and ideas. This diversity of thought can lead to innovative solutions and better decision-making.
In schools, embracing diversity creates a rich learning environment. Students from different backgrounds can learn from each other's experiences and gain a deeper understanding of the world. It promotes empathy, tolerance, and respect among young individuals.
However, embracing diversity is not always easy. It requires us to challenge stereotypes and prejudices, both within ourselves and in society. It requires us to actively listen and seek to understand different perspectives. It requires us to stand up against discrimination and inequality.
In conclusion, embracing diversity is essential for building a harmonious and inclusive society. Let us celebrate our differences and recognize the value of each individual's unique contribution. By embracing diversity, we can create a world where everyone feels respected, valued, and included. Together, let us embrace diversity and work towards a better future.
Thank you.

I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.
However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshneof the deep spring of life.
A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d like to share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life.
What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future?
Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.
We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.
As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”

Let me begin my speech with a replay of scenes familiar to most, if not all, of those present here today.
take. take. take.. The relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. I know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything I need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. I never thought twice about all she did until one day she said,
Like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must
warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. We cannot continue our carelessness. Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but
also the mother of the generations to come. How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? How much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start, I firmly believe that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

daily life can be made happier. it is a matter of choice. it is our attitude that makes us feel happy or unhappy. it is true, we meet all kinds of situations during the day, and some of them may not be conductive to happiness. we can choose to keep thinking about the unhappy events, and we can choose to refuse to think about them, and instead, relish the happy moments. all of us constantly go through various situations and circumstances, but we do not have to let them influence our reactions and feelings.
if we let outer events influence our moods, we become their slaves. we lose our freedom. we let our happinebe determined by outer forces. on the other hand, we can free ourselves from outer influences. we can choose to be happy, and we can do a lot to add happineto our lives.
what is happiness? it is a feeling of inner peace and satisfaction. it is usually experienced when there are no worries, fears or obsessing thoughts, and this usually happens, when we do something we love to do or when we get, win, gain or achieve something that we value. it seems to be the outcome of positive events, but it actually comes from the inside, triggered by outer events.
for most people happineseems fleeting, because they let changing outer circumstances affect it. one of the best ways to keep it, is by gaining inner peace through daily meditation. as the mind becomes more peaceful, it becomes easier to choose the happinehabit.
