篇一:The Power of Kindness
Good morning everyone,
Today, I would like to share with you a heartwarming story that illustrates the power of kindness.
Once upon a time, in a small village, lived a poor farmer named John. John had a small piece of land on which he grew crops to support his family. One year, due to a severe drought, John's crops failed, leaving him and his family in a desperate situation. They had no food and were on the verge of starvation.
One day, a kind-hearted neighbor named Sarah came to know about John's plight. Without hesitation, she decided to help. Sarah gathered some food, clothing, and other essentials and brought them to John's house. Seeing the generosity of Sarah, John and his family were overwhelmed with gratitude.
However, Sarah didn't stop there. She realized that the root cause of John's problem was the lack of water for irrigation. So, she approached the village council and requested them to dig a well near John's land. The council agreed, and soon, a well was dug, providing John with a reliable source of water for his crops.
With the well and Sarah's continuous support, John's farm flourished. He was able to grow an abundance of crops and earn a decent income. John no longer had to worry about his family's well-being, thanks to the kindness and selflessness of Sarah.
This story teaches us an important lesson about the power of kindness. Sarah's act of compassion not only helped John and his family survive during their time of need but also transformed their lives for the better. It shows us that a small act of kindness can have a ripple effect, creating a positive impact that goes far beyond our expectations.
In our daily lives, we often underestimate the power of our actions. We may think that a small act of kindness wouldn't make much of a difference. However, as this story shows, even the smallest acts of kindness can bring about significant changes in someone's life.
So, let us all remember the power of kindness and make a conscious effort to show compassion towards others. Whether it's helping a friend in need, volunteering at a local charity, or simply being kind to strangers, our actions have the potential to make a lasting impact on someone's life.
Thank you for listening.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I want to share with you a story that highlights the value of perseverance.
Once upon a time, in a small town, lived a young girl named Emily. Emily had a dream of becoming a professional dancer. She loved to dance and spent hours practicing every day. However, despite her passion and dedication, Emily faced numerous obstacles on her path to success.
One day, Emily auditioned for a prestigious dance academy. She gave her best performance, hoping to impress the judges. However, she was devastated when she received a rejection letter. The academy believed that she didn't have the potential to become a professional dancer.
Instead of giving up, Emily decided to prove them wrong. She continued to practice tirelessly, determined to improve her skills. She took additional dance classes, sought guidance from experienced dancers, and never lost sight of her goal.
Years passed, and Emily's perseverance paid off. She received an opportunity to audition for a renowned dance company. This time, she left no stone unturned in her preparation. She poured her heart and soul into her performance and impressed the judges with her incredible talent and dedication.

Not long after an old Chinese woman came back to China from her visit to her daughter in the States, she went to a city bank to deposit the US dollars her daughter gave her. At the bank counter, the clerk checked each note carefully to see if the money was real. It made the old lady out of patience.
At last she could not hold any more, uttering. "Trust me, Sir, and trust the money. They are real US dollars. They are directly from America."

She kindled a third match. Again shot up the flame; and now she was sitting under a most beautiful Christmas tree ,far larger, and far more prettily decked out, than the one she had seen last Christmas eve through the glass doors of the rich merchant's house. Hundreds of wax-tapers lighted up the green branches, and tiny painted figures, such as she had seen in the shop-windows, looked down from the tree upon her. The child stretched out her hands towards them in delight, and in that moment the lights of the match warm quenched; still, however, the Christmas candles burned higher and higher, she beheld them beaming like stars in heaven; one of them fell, the lights streaming behind it like a long, fiery tail.
“Now some one is dying,” said the little girl, softly, for she had been told by her old grandmother, the only person who had ever been kind to her, and who was now dead that whenever a star falls an immortal spirit returns to the God who gave it.
She struck yet another match against the wall; it flamed up, and surrounded by its light, appeared before her that same dear grandmother, gentle and loving as always, but bright and happy as she had never looked during her lifetime.

BUYING A HAT
A lady went to a hat shop to buy a hat. As she was very fussy, it took her a long time to pick on one. Already at the end of his patience the salesman was afraid that she might change her mind again so he tried to flatter her: "An exce
llent choice, madam. You look at least ten years younger with this hat on!" To his dismay, the lady took off her hat at once and said: "I don't want a hat that makes me look ten years older as soon as I take it off. Show me some more hats!"买帽子
